V. Vasin was born in 1918 in Moscow.
Studied at Moscow Regional Pedagogical Art College “In Memory of the Year 1905” (1934-1938) in the classes of the Russian masters Giorgi Gorelov, Konstantin Morozov and Sergei Frolov, then at All-Soviet State Institute of Cinematography under F. Bogorodski (1939-43).
A member of the Moscow Union of Artists (since 1944).
Since 1945 regularly participated in Moscow, regional and international exhibitions. His works were exposed in Italy, Canada, Sweden, Poland, Germany, Japan, and France and at the All-Soviet Art Exhibition in 1950, “Soviet Russia” in 1960, Moscow. One-man show 1978 in Moscow. Since 1943 (-1993) gave lessons at All-Soviet State Institute of Cinematography.
