Boris Stavitsky was born in 1920 in Kiev. Later on active in Moscow till his death in 1997.
The artist studied at the Moscow secondary art school (1939-40).
B. Stavitsky - is a participant of the World War Two (1940-45).
He graduated from the Moscow Surikov State art institute (1951) under V.P. Efanov and K.M. Maksimov.
Married to I.S. Bogdanova painter, too.
